Cooling Tower Testing and Maintenance
Cooling Tower Inspection, Cooling Tower Services Comments
Routine testing and maintenance of cooling towers is essential to ensure optimal performance of the entire operation. Cooling tower testing should be performed on both new towers (Acceptance Testing) and older towers (Status Testing) to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
Cooling Tower testing by the experts at AmertechTowerServices, LLC is conducted in accordance with the Cooling Technology Institute (CTI) Acceptance Test Code for Water-Cooling Towers (ATC-105).
A cooling tower performance test requires the measurement of the following parameters:
- Hot water temperature
- Cold water temperature
- Wet-bulb temperature
- Dry-bulb temperature (natural draft only)
- Circulating water flow rate
- Fan power (mechanical draft only)
- Make-up and blow-down temperature and flow (where applicable)
Reports on the outcomes of these cooling tower performance tests will be reported on a preliminary basis on-site where applicable. A final report including all raw data and capability calculations will be issued within a reasonable time. Any deviations from the requirements of ATC-105 will be noted in the report.
